Do I need to have existing low-voltage landscape lighting in my yard?

No, you do not need to have existing low-voltage landscape lighting in your yard. However, you will need to purchase a separate Low-Voltage Landscape Lighting Transformer and 12-Guage Landscape Lighting Cable (both can be purchased at a local hardware store or online by clicking here).

If you do have an existing low-voltage landscape lighting system in your yard, every i3 Planter includes a connector to tap into your system. Make sure your transformer will handle additional fixtures (20 watts per i3 Planter).

Can I use silk flowers and only the light feature at other times of the year?

Yes. It’s another feature of i3 Planters that makes them unique and useful Year Round. When your growing season is over, remove your spent flowers, old potting soil, and shut off your watering system. With each season change you can insert a beautiful silk arrangement (red poinsettias and large bows are stunning during the Christmas Season).
